Morning Sessions:

  • Government Update: Why Our CONNECTION COUNTS with Government Affairs

We are excited to welcome John Scott, Senior Associate with Cornerstone Government Affairs

Bio: John Scott is a Senior Associate at Cornerstone Government Affairs, headquartered in Washington, D.C., where he helps clients make sense of a policy landscape being reshaped by AI and rapidly moving political pendulum swings. John manages the Transportation & Infrastructure / Tech & Telecommunications practice groups. Since joining the firm in 2022, John has built a reputation for connecting people across the aisle, a skill honed early in his career coordinating a bipartisan Pediatric Trauma Caucus panel with NASCAR driver Richard Childress and Representatives from both parties. Prior to Cornerstone, John founded and ran a commercial and residential moving company based out of Charlotte, NC. That experience, paired with his economics and philosophy background from Wake Forest University, shapes how he turns fast-moving technology and political change into relationships, and policy outcomes, that count for his clients. An avid traveler, John has visited nearly 20 countries in his humanitarian and personal travels. John has managed the policy priorities and scheduling for the last four GBTA Legislative Summits.

      • Session Overview:

The Government and Business Travel – how do we really work together to advocate for business travel friendly interests, and what impact can our industry have on the decisions that are made? John Scott has the answers. Join us as he unpacks the Washington and Oregon state economic profiles, the implications of an upcoming lame-duck session, and the potential shift in majority control following the midterm elections and the impact to the local and state business travel community — plus a look at the economic and geopolitical landscape. Prepare to walk away knowing how to practically make a connection that counts.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Connection is a Decision - Driven by Choice, Not Chance: Bernadette McClelland will teach us how to leverage the human element in an AI driven world!

Bio: Bernadette McClelland is CEO and Founder of Sales Leaders Global LLC, a Harvard-credentialed executive coach, Vistage speaker, and creator of the Decision-Led Revenue™ methodology. She is the author of the forthcoming book Sales ≠ Revenue: The Five Leadership Decisions That Do (Be Bold Publishing, September 2026).

Session Overview: "Connection is a Decision"

AI is already changing how travel gets booked - helping teams prepare faster, communicate more clearly, and work smarter. But no algorithm builds stakeholder alignment, traveller trust, or supplier collaboration on its own. That still takes a decision. And it takes connection. This keynote challenges buyers and suppliers to use what technology frees up - time, headspace, better information and the ability to be human- to invest more deliberately in the conversations and relationships that drive real business outcomes. Connection isn't something that happens when people enter a foyer or book a trip. Connection is a decision.

And we are excited to welcome back GBTA's CEO to the Pacific Northwest for her latest GBTA update since GBTA Convention in Chicago!

    🦈 Shark Tank Battle🦈

We’re ending the day with an epic pitch competition! We are excited to welcome BizTripAl, Clarasight, Nowadays and Juno to the stage for an epic battle in Seattle!

Nowadays: The Last Unmanaged Line in Your Travel Program

Amy Yan is co-founder and COO of Nowadays, the AI platform for corporate meetings and events, where she leads sales and operations. She works with travel and procurement teams at companies including Airbnb, Nutrien, and BlackRock, to bring meetings spend under management. Before Nowadays, Amy was at Google and McKinsey. She co-founded Nowadays in 2023 with her sister, Anna Sun. Nowadays has won pitch competitions at the Business Travel Show in America, APAC, and Europe, taking both judges' choice and people's choice in America, and most recently won at GBTA VentureConnect.

Air and hotel are under management. Meetings, at most companies, are not. They get booked over email by people who sit outside the travel program, at rates nobody negotiated. Nowadays is the AI platform that sources, negotiates, and contracts corporate meetings, bringing that spend and those supplier relationships back under the travel team. Companies including BlackRock, Airbnb, and Nutrien use it today. At one Fortune 500, a travel lead used Nowadays to surface $18M in meeting spend that had never touched the managed program.

Juno: Reinventing Complex and Guest T&E for the Enterprise

Connor Lawrence leads TMC partnerships at Juno and has been in the corporate travel industry for 10+ years, formerly leading travel partnerships at U.S. Bank and TravelBank.

Juno is a modern, AI-driven, all-in-one platform built to simplify the complex world of guest travel and expense management for enterprises. Our technology is purpose-built for the unique needs of non-profiled travelers—candidates, new-hires, contractors, HCPs, patients, interns, incentive trip winners, and other non-employees—who often fall outside traditional OBT & TMC systems. Juno works with several customers in the BTN 100.

Clarasight: Helps enterprises bring travel, expense, policy, vendors, and emissions into one system—so teams can make better decisions and run better programs.

Adam Braun is the Co-Founder & CEO of Clarasight, the AI Operating System for Corporate Travel that 25% of the largest programs in the BTN 100 use to bring trusted, unified data and measurable savings to their travel programs. By aggregating fragmented travel, expense, and business data into a single source of truth, then providing AI- powered reporting, insights and process automation, Clarasight enables enterprises representing more than $5B in T&E spend to drive savings, optimize suppliers, and recover 90% of their time. Braun is a 3x entrepreneur and NY Times bestselling author who also leads the Corporate Travel AI Network, a community of ~350 travel buyers that connect, learn and share how to successfully leverage AI across their travel programs.

Clarasight is an AI-native data platform and operating system designed for enterprise Corporate Travel and Expense (T&E) management.
The software unifies fragmented data across multiple external silos—such as travel management companies (TMCs), corporate card programs, expense platforms, and HR systems—into a single, consolidated data model. It is positioned as an "operating layer" rather than a replacement for existing booking or expense tools.
BizTrip AI is an agentic, AI-powered corporate travel assistant that allows employees to search, book, and manage entire in-policy business trips using a single sentence.
Tom Romary (Founder & CEO): Founder of Yapta (acquired by Coupa) and former executive at Deem and Alaska Airlines.
BizTrip AI offers agentic artificial intelligence capabilities, including dynamic itinerary management, policy compliance, and continuous price tracking, enabling business travelers and corporations to reduce costs, improve booking efficiency, and enhance travel experiences.
