Sarah Chou is a Senior Business Consultant on the Environmental Sustainability Team at Southwest Airlines. She is responsible for managing customer sustainability programs, supporting sustainable aviation fuel strategy and execution, tracking progress against the Company’s announced 10-year goals, and partnering with stakeholders on broader ESG and Citizenship initiatives. Sarah received her BA in Economics from Rice University and previously worked in management consulting in the utilities, healthcare, and aviation industries.

The presentation will provide an overview into opportunities and challenges facing the commercial aviation industry and decarbonization, with a particular focus on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and its critical role. She will discuss Southwest’s near-term strategy as recently announced in the company’s plan to achieve carbon neutral growth to 2019 levels and dive into Southwest Business environmental sustainability initiatives. Participants will “walk away” with an understanding of how Southwest is tackling its emissions as well as how they can engage with the airline as their companies’ develop and execute on their own sustainability goals.
